Is it necessary to drink water when taking dietary supplements and how much water should I drink per day?⠀

✅Many people ask this question and a lot of instructions that come with medication nearly always state to take the medicine "with a glass of water”. The reason for this is that along with water, the capsule/tablet you are taking enters the intestine. In addition, water activates the beneficial properties of many dried plants that are found in the medication, thus allowing the body to obtain the maximum benefit.⠀

✅Water is also necessary for the elimination of toxins from the body therefore when taking dietary supplements that are aimed at cleansing the body, you should drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water a day. If you do not drink water, then internal intoxication can occur and all the poisons and toxins that the drug received from the cells can remain in the intestine and lead to headaches, malaise and problems with the gastrointestinal tract.⠀

✅It is important to note that it is necessary to drink pure water and not tea, juice or other forms. Many people believe that they drink enough liquid if they brew black tea 5-6 times a day or pour themselves 2-3 cups of coffee however this is incorrect as these drinks are perceived by the body as “food” and do not contribute to the elimination of harmful substances. Therefore, pay attention to drinking pure water.⠀

✅For those who can not drink 2 liters of water a day, it is recommended that you make it a rule to drink 1-2 glasses of water on an empty stomach right after waking up. During the day, start making it a habit of drinking 1-2 glasses at certain times. A good tip is to get a water bottle which holds 0.5 liters of water. If you refill this three times during the day, you will manage to drink 1,5 liters and this will make it easier for you to control how much water they have drunk throughout.
