❗️Myth number 1: Homeopathy and Dietary supplements are the same thing ⠀
🌱Many people who consume dietary supplements and homeopathy believe that they are the same thing, however this is not the case. ⠀
🌱Homeopathy is an alternative medicine which is based on the law of similar’s. It predicts that a disease can be cured by a medicine which in healthy people is able to produce a condition that resembles the disease. However it is based on a pseudoscience - there is no good-quality evidence that homeopathy is effective as a treatment for any health condition. ⠀
🌱Dietary supplements on the other hand contain concentrations of natural or identical biological substances that are intended to be introduced into food products or directly into the diet to replenish vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and more. In other words, dietary substances have proven to work. ⠀
❗️Myth number 2: Dietary supplements are a medicine ⠀
🌱Unfortunately, there are some people who have substituted the use of medically prescribed medication for dietary supplements. ⠀
🌱Remember that consuming dietary supplements as a type of medication or in its place is unacceptable - a supplement is essentially a highly concentrated nutritional product which can be found in a capsule/tablet form. Dietary supplements can be used as a preventive measure for healthy people or, by following doctors' orders, used in conjunction with other prescribed medication. Please remember however that they cannot be used as a main medication for treatment: sellers of supplements who claim that their supplements will cure you of any disease are deceiving you.⠀
